Kambiz Nava‘i is a practicing architect and a faculty member and Chair of the Department of Architecture in the School of Architecture and Urban Design of the Shahid Beheshti University, Tehran. His extensive study and publications on Iranian Islamic architecture recently culminated in the magnum opus Khesht-o Khiāl, which offers a new interpretation of Iranian architecture of the Islamic era and the underlying concepts and creativity of its architects.
