A Celebration of Persian Literary Treasures
On Sunday, August 12, 2012, Farhang Foundation hosted one of its most popular events, Meet Farhang: A Night of Poetry and Nostalgia at The Beverly Hilton. Performed in the traditional format of golha, where poetry is first recited then sang while accompanied by Persian music, Meet Farhang: A Night of Poetry and Nostalgia paid tribute to the works of Saadi, Rudaki, Araghi and Shahriar.
We are thankful to Homa Sarshar, best-selling author and award-winning journalist, who recited passages from their works and brought their words to life, set to the beautiful backdrop of traditional Persian music performed by the acclaimed and talented musicians, Mohammad Hasani and Shahin Yousefzamani.
