Bahareh Mirmoghtadaie was only three years old when she took an interest in music. She was born in Tehran, Iran 1982. At the young age of four she started learning Tonbak with Master Morteza Aayan and later with Masters: Amir Naser Eftetah, Mehrdad Arabi, and Mohammad Esmaili. She was among the best students of Ustad Esmaili and has accompanied some of the best musicians of Iran such as Masters: Parviz Yahaghi (Violin), Jalil Shahnaz (Tar), Farhang Sharif (Tar), Mohammad Moosavi (Nay), Jalal Zolfanoon (Setar), Akbar Golpaygani (Vocal), Asghar Bahary (Kamanche), Delkash (Vocal) and Hossein Alizadeh (Tar).
Apart from Tombak, Bahareh also plays the Tar and Piano. She graduated from Sooreh University in Tehran with a BA in Music. She is a member of “Rozaneh”, a group that formed in 2000. Bahareh has toured many cities in Europe, including Barcelona, Girona, Tortosa, Banyuls, Sant Feliu, de LIobregat, Torrella de Montgri, Villanova and La Gertru in Spain (March 2003). In September of 2005, she toured in Gineva, Switzerland, an event organized by ILLA. She also toured in Italy in December 2005 in Milano, Ligano Sabbiadoro (UD), Udine, Trezzano Rosa and Brindisi.
Bahareh is moved to Los Angeles, CA in 2005, and is persuing her education in Music Therapy. She is an avid teacher of the Tombak and has many workshops in UCSB
(Santa Barbara), and Los Angeles. She finished recording on a soon to be released CD of her music group Rozaneh. She is a member of Ali J. Racy’s ensemble in UCLA and also a middle eastern ensemble. Bahareh started learning the Riqq with master Souhail Kaspar, and she had a lot of performances with Kaspar in Los Angeles and Mendocino
