A live performance by Salare Aghili, singing Vatanam, Vatanam My homeland, My homeland. This was the first national anthem of Persia (Iran) from early 1900s to 1933. It was composed by a French military musician, Lemaire. The new version of the anthem was performed in October of 2005 by the Melal Orchestra of Iran, led by Peyman Soltani, lyrics by Bijan Taraqi.
