Mark Moshayedi is an Iranian-American serial entrepreneur known for his exceptional track record in founding and managing businesses across diverse sectors, including technology, real estate, travel, and automotive industries.
Mr. Moshayedi has a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of California, Irvine, followed by an M.B.A. from Pepperdine University. Combining his expertise in technology, engineering, and business, he co-founded the publicly traded technology company, STEC Inc (STEC: Nasdaq), formerly known as SimpleTech. In 2013, he led the company as its Chief Executive Officer, culminating in its successful acquisition by Western Digital. Over 21 years of dedicated leadership, Mark held pivotal roles from CTO to COO, President, and CEO at STEC, while amassing an impressive portfolio of more than 50 patents to his name, particularly in the area of Flash storage. His visionary leadership was essential in developing STEC's groundbreaking enterprise-class solid-state storage (SSD) products, revolutionizing the storage industry.
Currently, Mr. Mark Moshayedi is the founder and CEO of MSM Global Ventures, a privately held Newport Beach-based enterprise with a focus on real estate investments and venture capital endeavors. Mr. Moshayedi uses his leadership and extensive business experience to manage, develop, and expand the company’s portfolio.
When Mr. Moshayedi is not focused on his business endeavors, he and his wife, Semira, engage in philanthropic activities through the Mark and Semira Moshayedi Family Foundation with a particular interest in education, medicine, technology, and research, showcasing their unwavering commitment to making a positive impact on these critical fronts.
